Katy Perry was born October 25, 1984, in Santa Barbara, California. She is a pop singer with hits such as “Hot ’N Cold” and “California Gurls.” Katy grew up in a very religious household and started her career as a gospel singer. Katy had a few small hits, but when she signed with Columbia Records and released her album One of the Boys in 2008, she experienced huge success. All of the singles she released from that album -- including “I Kissed a Girl,” “Hot ’N Cold” and “Waking Up in Vegas” -- became hits. In 2010, she released Teenage Dream, which was her first CD to debut at number one. Some singles from that album include “Peacock,” “California Gurls” and “Teenage Dream,” all of which were successful on the radio and as digital downloads. She dated singer Travie McCoy on and off for many years, but the pair finally ended things in 2009. That same year, she met and became engaged to comedian and actor Russell Brand. Katy and Russell announced their separation in December 2011, and officially became divorced in February 2012.

Rather than reporting news, HollywoodLife shamelessly manufactures outrageous scenarios and here writes, “Katy and Rob BOTH had their hearts broken in the last year and they could really form a strong bond based on their mutual pain. A beautiful relationship could form out of that bond.”
But that’s not the bottom of the barrel for the site, which seems to sink to new depths every day.
According to the webloid, “Following the premiere of Katy’s 3D movie A Part Of Me in Los Angeles, Rob partied alongside Katy… noticeably absent was Kristen ,” and then the blog irresponsibly speculates, “Following her admission that she had cheated on Rob, we can’t help but wonder where Kristen was that night.”
